Wiseguys member Jerry Kimble and former troupe member David Caffey star in the new web series, “The Conversion”, which debuted June 11. This thriller is based around the conversion from analog to digital, and appears to involve a sinister plot of, no doubt, epic proportions!

Funniest Person in Memphis 2009

Congratulations to Wiseguys’ assistant director Andy Fleming for winning the 2009 Funniest Person in Memphis contest!  Kudos also to Laura Dlouhy and former Wiseguys member Jane Haze for making the finals.  The contest was sponsored by Skitz comedy club.

The contest spanned several weeks of preliminary competitions with the finalists squaring off for a final round June 2.

The Wiseguys are proud of their award-winning members and look forward to bring you their certified hilarity!

Funniest Person in Memphis Finals

Congratulations to Wiseguys troupe members Laura Dlouhy and Andy Fleming, and former troupe member Jane Haze for advancing to the Funniest Person in Memphis 2009 finals!

The final round will be Tuesday, June 2 at 8:30 p.m. at Skitz Comedy Club at Neil’s,  1835 Madison (at McLean).

Josh Geraldson

We are sad to mourn the loss of a young man who was with troupe for a period of time who passed away earlier this week.  Josh was 20 when he died, and all of us are sad and our thoughts are with Josh’s family and friends.

This is his obituary from the 4/23/09 Commercial Appeal:

“Joshua Steven Geraldson 20, of Germantown died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at The Regional Medical Center. Joshua is a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. He is a Lausanne Collegiate School graduate, and a freshman at Christian Brothers University. Joshua’s hobbies included involvement at Lausanne with Theater, Beta Club, and Ultimate Frisbee. He was also a Brown Belt in Karate and was involved with Theater Memphis and a member of the Wise Guys Improv Team. He was the lead vocalist, Guitarist, and composed much of the music for his band, Tripwire. He also served as a student ambassador with People to People. Joshua was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Donna Ostro. He is survived by his father, Steve (Kathy) Geraldson of Olive Branch, and mother Cindy (Mark) Christian of Germantown, a brother, Matthew Geraldson, sisters, Mackenzie Christian, Jessica Geraldson, and Sarah Dixon, his grandparents are Lee and Marilyn Geraldson, and Wayne Grant. A visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 10:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
